Getting to Prague by Bus

  • Busabout - You're in control to plan your travels and define your own experience. Busabout's 70-city network gives you the freedom to explore as much or as little of Europe as you want.
  • Eurolines - Europe's largest coach network with over 5000 destination. You can buy tickets from many Eurolines' offices in the initial countries of travel. Double check though as some passes only allow international travel, so you can not use it to travel within that country.

Travel by bus in Prague

Trams and subway will be more than efficient for you to travel in most area in Prague. You will probably need buses only when going to remote locations in the suburb of Prague.

Hours

Day buses: Operate daily from 4:30 am to 12:00 am. The waiting times are frequent ranging from 5 to 20 minutes in normal hours and up to 30 minutes in the weekends. These buses are marked with numbered smaller than 500.

Night buses "nocni doprava" run from 12:30 am to 4:30 am every 30 minutes. They are numbered from 502 to 514, 601 to 603.

Travel by bus in the Czech Republic

Whichever destinations you can't reach by train, you can always find a bus which takes you there. The main bus station in Prague locates at Florenc (metro B/C). The majority of international buses arrive and depart here in addition to buses traveling to other cities in the Czech Republic. To inquire for information or purchasing tickets, proceed to the bus agency (hard to describe its location). You will see big departure boards. In many cases, bus tickets are very cheap.
