Cheap Flights to Prague and the Czech Republic

From USA

Czech Airlines (CSA) is the only direct airline flying from the US to Prague. Other airlines stop at major European hubs, e.g. Frankfurt, Vienna, Amsterdam, Helsinki, Copenhagen. To get cheap flights from the US to Prague or the Czech Republic, you should, instead, fly to more popular hubs in Western Europe and then fly to Prague with budget European airlines.

• Direct Flights - Kayak, a superb search engine which searches hundreds of travel websites and and airlines to find the cheapest air fares. Use this option if you are not sure about the destinations and flexible about your schedule. 
• Multiple-Destination Flights - This option is good if you want to fly in and out off different cities. A friend of mine flew from San Francisco to Berlin, spent some time there and took a train to Prague to visit me for two days, then flew out of Prague to San Francisco. She paid less than $1000 for a multiple-destination ticket (April travel period.)
• Flights + Hotels/Cars - Some of you might prefer a travel package including flight, hotel and or car. I think in many cases, a travel package can be cheaper than booking separate flight, hotel and car.
• Other options:
  • Economy Travel - This site sometimes has many surprisingly low air fares which even Kayak can't beat.

From Canada

Czech Airlines (CSA) is the only direct airline flying daily (summer) from Montreal and Toronto, Canada to Prague. Other airlines stop at major European hubs, e.g. Frankfurt, Vienna, Amsterdam, Helsinki, Copenhagen. Also, to get cheap flights from the Canada to Prague or the Czech Republic, you should, instead, fly to more popular hubs in Western Europe and then fly to Prague with budget European airlines.

From United Kingdom & Ireland

Czech Airlines and British Airways are two major airlines flying daily from London to Prague. However, booking directly with the airlines is not recommended as it's unlikely that you will find the cheapest airfares. Instead try the following resources:

• Direct Flights - Cheapflights UK publishes travel deals. I found many very cheap flights on low-cost airlines from London or UK to Prague. 
• Multiple-Destination Flights - This option is good if you want to fly in and out off different cities.
• Flights + Hotels/Cars - This option is perfect if you prefer to book flight, hotel and or car at the same time.
• Other options:
  • Kayak - A superb search engine which searches hundreds of travel websites and and airlines to find Cheap Flights.
  •  Economy Travel - It's worth to check out this site.

If you fly out from Ireland, remember to pay a visit to Ryanair, Aer Lingus and BMI. These low-cost airlines regularly have cheap flights from Dublin to Prague.

From Australia & New Zealand

Flying from Australia and New Zealand to Europe is expensive since any flight will have to pass either the entire Asia or the massive Pacific and America to get to the destination city. So it's not advisable to fly directly to Prague. Choose a few major European and Asian hubs, compare the cost to fly there plus from there to Prague.
