Highlight

  • Vaclav Laurin and bookseller Vaclav Klement began manufacturing bicycles in 1895.
  • By 1899 their bicycles, Slavia, had developed into motorcycles.
  • Cars designs were rivals of Rolls Royce in the 1930s.
  • During Nazi occupation, Hitler ordered moving the steering wheel to the left.
  • Laurin and Klement company was bought by the Škoda group.
  • Volkswagen bought Škoda factory in 1991.

By Train

  • From the Masarykova Stanice
  • Takes less than 1 hours to reach Mlada Boleslav.
  • Train stops at the main station. So you have to jump to a smaller train (train shuttle) to the center (Mešto), an extra 10 minutes.
