Becherovka Herbal Liquor

This spirit is definitely one of Czech's prides. It is a kind of herbal bitter, comprises of 32 herbs, made only in Karlovy Vary. It is also called Carlsbad's bitter. This liquor is served cold or with tonic water. Ask any Czech, and you will hear their bestowment of this bitter. Don't damage their impression to you by insulting this famous liquid of theirs. A few months ago, I had two visitors: a Vietnamese who studying in Korea and an Ukrainian American. I offered them both a little sip of Becherovka. The next thing I remembered was standing at Tesco buying them each a bottle to bring back home.

Karlovy Vary's Spa Wafers

You can find spa wafers in supermarkets in Prague and other cities in the Czech Republic. However, to bite the true Carlsbad wafers and swallow down the taste while standing in the very city which makes them is the best way to enjoy these crunchy babies which come in many flavors. During the Film Festival, you see stands full of boxes of these wafers at every block or so from one another. They cost around 45 CZK each. Also, you can try hot wafers from street vendors who make them from ovens. 

Mineral Drinking Cups

These spa drinking cups are the most eye-catching local crafts of Karlovy Vary. You can not miss them as they are sold ever where in the city center. The flat shape of the cups is to reserve the temperature of the water as well as the mineral content. They come in various shapes, colors, sizes and prices. The cheapest ones cost round 90 CZK and the most expensive around 200 CZK or more. I normally don't buy souvenirs but I could not resist these nice little cups.
