Where can I find affordable Latin dance lesson?
Written by cd on December 22, 2006 – 1:51 pm -
J. and I want to haul our lazy potato asses off the couch for a couple of days per week, doing some dancing. At the moment, I’m interested in learning Latin ballroom dance.
Is there any cheap dance studio in Prague? What is your experience? Drop me a line.
Thanks.

Getting tighter with Slovakia’s border
Written by cd on December 22, 2006 – 1:51 pm -If you think it will be easy to travel from Czech to Slovakia as these two used to be under the same country, then think again. Czech prepares to enforce stricter border control at Czech-Slovak border.
Why?
Because it costs less to do that compared to having strict border control with other EU countries, namely Germany and Austria.
So?
Have you heard of Schengen Agreement, an agreement among EU members excluding UK and Ireland + non EU members Iceland, Norway and Switzerland to clear border check posts in these countries. 15/26 countries have implemented it so far. Czech, Slovakia are among those which have not implemented the agreement.
When Czech is ready to implement this agreement, people can travel freely from Czech to Western Europe. And this might poses a
Problem
Illegal immigrants, mostly from the Former Soviet Union, have easier access to spread to Western Europe.
-
Russia->Belarus->Poland->Czech
-
Russia->Ukraine->Slovakia->Czech
Since Slovakia has difficulty to meet Schengen Agreement’s requirements, Czech has to be strict on its former brother state.
Uh. Make sense?

Boarding ship for homeless only
Written by cd on December 21, 2006 – 4:02 am -Next time you are here, you might see a housing ship

All the money in your pocket won’t get you a boarding pass on this ship on Vltava river.
Hah, this might be the only time in your life when you wish you could be a homeless as it is the only way you can get to live on this ship.
Sometimes human creativeness has no bound. The reason for this strange living arrangement is that housing for the homeless is not welcomed in Prague’s neighborhood. So what is the next alternative when the river locates within the city.
This project costs an estimate sum of 21 million KC, and hopes to accomodate 250 out of 500 homeless in Prague.
I’ll update when the project finishes and accept boarders.

Fish in Czech are soooo expensive!
Written by cd on December 13, 2006 – 2:30 pm -
Fish are good. Fish are good for your health. Fish and many thing else.
But they are too expensive in Czech, a continental country.
I bought two bags of frozen fish, the cheapest kind, at Tesco, near Andel, last night. Before I left, I managed to hover around the fresh food stands to behold the lovely pricey fish.
